Milwaukee Public Schools protect students in cold conditions

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Public Schools are taking steps to ensure students' safety in these frigid cold temparatures.


According to the MPS website, outdoor recess has been canceled for the time being.


Also, students will be allowed into their school as soon as they arrive in the morning.


Students will then be allowed to stay inside their school in the afternoon until their bus arrives or their parents pick them up.


There are no plans to cancel school because of the weather at this time.
