Milwaukee Public Schools keeping close eye on excessive heat watch

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is keeping a close eye on the forecast as temperatures are expected to reach above 90 degrees this week.

An excessive heat watch will be in effect for all Wisconsin counties from 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23 through 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24. 

For the safety of all students and staff, MPS says they are watching the forecast closely and will alert families as soon as possible if any changes will be made to schedules.
