Milwaukee police respond to several shootings Saturday night

It was a busy Saturday night for Milwaukee police as officers responded to several shootings, including the fatal shooting of a 1-year-old near 73rd and Mill Road. 

Several bullets were fired from the street into the front room of a home, striking the child. He was rushed to a local hospital, but later died of his injuries. Police say the child and his mother were visiting at the time of the shooting. Anyone with information should immediately call Milwaukee police.

A 38-year-old man was shot during a robbery attempt around 5:20 p.m. near N. Palmer and E. Burleigh. His injuries are not life threatening. No suspects are in custody.

A 34-year-old man was shot by a known actor around 11:30 p.m. near 6th and Hadley streets. The man suffered a serious injury, but is expected to survive. A suspect was arrested at the scene.

A 19-year-old man was shot around 11:50 p.m. near S. Cesar Chavez Drive and Orchard Street. He was dropped off at a local hospital with a serious injury, but is expected to survive. No suspects are in custody.

A 27-year-old woman was struck by stray gunfire while driving in a car near 48th and Villard around 1:20 a.m. Sunday. Police do not believe she was the intended target. No suspects are in custody.
