Milwaukee police release videos from officer-involved shooting at gas station

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police have released seven videos from an officer-involved shooting Wednesday, July 17. 

Police responded to a gas station near Sherman and Capitol Drive around 10:30 p.m. and located a suspect wanted in a double shooting.

Officials say the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Jayuntae Gregory, disregarded multiple commands and fired shots towards the officers and others.

Officers returned fire and the suspect was ultimately taken into custody. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. 

Police say the suspect was wanted for a double shooting on July 16 near 24th and Capitol. A rifle was recovered at the scene. 

The officers involved were placed on administrative duty as is routine in officer-involved shootings. 

The Milwaukee Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
