Milwaukee police officers injured during pursuit of armed robbery suspect

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee police officers were injured while pursuing an armed robbery suspect Tuesday, Dec. 22.

While on patrol in the area near 21st and Lincoln, officers saw an armed robbery of a pedestrian take place around 2:16 a.m.

The suspect vehicle fled westbound on Lincoln Avenue. 

As officers pursued the vehicle, the squad crashed into a utility police, and the suspect vehicle continued eastbound on W. Greenfield Avenue.

The officers were taken to Froedtert hospital for minor injuries. 

Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspects.
