Milwaukee Police investigating two shootings
MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- A passerby was struck by an errant bullet Friday night while driving in the area of W Mitchell and S 15th Street. The Milwaukee Police say the victim, a 44-year-old man was seriously wounded and was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his wound.
According to the Police, around 11 PM Friday, the suspect in the shooting was in an altercation with his girlfriend. As she fled from a vehicle, the suspect began shooting at her. She was not hit, but one of the shots struck the passerby.
MPD is continue to investigate the shooting and is looking for a known subject.
Around 7:00 a.m. Saturday, a 33-year-old man suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound was found in the area of W Lisbon Avenue and N 26th Street. The Police do not believe this was the location of the shooting and are continuing to investigate where the shooting happened. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injury.
