Milwaukee Police investigating fatal pedestrian accident

A pedestrian was struck and killed shortly after 8:30 p.m. Thursday night at 1400 W. Atkinson Ave.
Milwaukee police say the victim was a 39 year old male from Milwaukee.
He was struck by a vehicle as he was crossing from the north to the south across W. Atkinson Ave.
Investigators say the striking auto was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it struck the victim.
The auto was described as a small dark auto with fully tinted windows last seen south bound on N. 13 street from Atkinson.
