Milwaukee Police investigating after man shot while sitting in yard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot on Milwaukee's south side Thursday night. 

Officers say they responded to the area of W. Mitchell and S. 21st Streets around 9:30 p.m. after getting several shot spotter alerts. Investigators later learned a 36-year-old man had been shot while sitting in his yard when two people began firing guns. 

The victim had a non-fatal gunshot wound and was treated at the scene before being taken to a local hospital. 

Police are still looking for the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Milwaukee Police.
