Milwaukee Police Investigating After Four People Shot in Afternoon Shootings

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police are investigating two separate shootings that left four people injured, three of them seriously.

The first shooting happened around 3:35 in the 6900 block of W. Tallmadge Place. A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was shot by a suspect who was inside a passing vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Police continue to search for a motive and a  suspect.

A separate shooting happened shortly before 4 p.m. on the city's north side. Officers responded to the 3600 block of N. 4th Street and located the first victim, a 21-year-old female, who had been shot. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The other two victims, a 34-year-old man and a 29-year-old man, were later located at an area hospital and are believed to have been injured in the same incident. Those victims are also being treated for serious injuries. Milwaukee Police are investigating the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
