Milwaukee Police Investigate Overnight Shooting

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting from overnight.

Officers responded to a shot-spotter call in the area of 34th and Meinecke shortly after midnight. Officers arrived to find a vehicle that was involved in an accident blocking traffic.

A short time later, officers located a 21-year-old with a gunshot wound. He was treated for his injuries by the Milwaukee Fire Department and transported to a local hospital.

The victim is not being forthcoming regarding the circumstances of the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
