Milwaukee Police Identify Man the was Fatally Shot on Becher

Milwaukee Police Department identified a victim in the fatal double shooting that occurred in the area of 2400 W. Becher St. at about 4:40 PM on Saturday.

The victim in the October 1 homicide in the 2400 block of W. Becher Street is identified as Carmelo R. Silva Jr.

According to police, several individuals became involved in a dispute inside of a residence. During the dispute one subject was stabbed with a sword and two other individuals were shot.

Despite life saving efforts by the Milwaukee fire department an 18-year-old male died from a gunshot injury. A second 18-year-old male received a non-fatal gunshot injury.

The two victims with non-fatal injuries were conveyed to a local hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department.

The suspect in this homicide, a 21-year-old Milwaukee man, received serious injuries from a stabbing during the same incident and continues to be hospitalized.
