Milwaukee police engage in vehicle and foot pursuit, suspect arrested
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police engaged in a vehicle pursuit that led to a foot pursuit on Tuesday, May 2. The pursuit reportedly began at around 5:21 p.m. near 61st and W. Appleton.
According to a release issued by the Milwaukee Police Dept. on Wednesday, May 3, MPD officers attempted to stop a vehicle matching the description of one sought in connection to an earlier fatal crash. The driver allegedly refused to comply, prompting the pursuit.
The chase ended when the vehicle became disabled near 22nd and W. Mitchell Street. A foot pursuit then began, as the 29-year-old Milwaukee man driving the vehicle reportedly fled before being apprehended.
