MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is mourning as they lay to rest one of their own.
A private funeral service for Officer Thomas Kline was held in Milwaukee Monday, Sept. 14.
Family, friends and fellow officers remember Kline as a police officer that cared for his community and those who live in it.
"Tom was the very definition of community liaison officer," said Captain Derrick Harris. "He had his finger on the pulse of the events that occurred in downtown Milwaukee. He was excellent in his field of work and he would put other people's needs and challenges first."
Friends and coworkers remember Kline as an intensely dedicated, meticulous officer who treated every assignment with care.
They say his death is an indescribable loss for the city.
