Milwaukee police: 3 arrested after police pursuit ends in crash near 12th and State

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A police pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended in a crash near 12th and State in Milwaukee on Wednesday, April 26. 

Police say just after 5:30 p.m., officers attempted to stop a reckless driver near 35th and Greenfield but the driver refused and a pursuit ensued. 

Officials say the chase ended when the fleeing driver ran a red light and struck another vehicle. 

The suspects in the fleeing vehicle, a 23-year-old Milwaukee man, a 22-year-old Milwaukee man and a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, were arrested after a foot pursuit. 

The vehicle was determined to be stolen, suspected illegal narcotics and several firearms were recovered.

The occupants of the vehicle that was struck were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
