Milwaukee bicyclist sustains life-threatening injuries Thursday morning

Milwaukee Police now state that a bicyclist was hit, not a pedestrian.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are reporting a serious collision that has taken place at W. Fond Du Lac Ave. and W. Silver Spring Dr.

MPD is investigating a "serious" collision that occurred on Thursday, Sept. 29 at around 7:12 a.m.

According to officials, a vehicle was turning right when it struck a 55-year-old Milwaukee man who was crossing the street. The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.

MPD also added that the driver remained on-scene and is "cooperating with the investigation."
