MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Peter Stathas Dance will perform a two-night engagement at Danceworks MKE later this month, featuring its production "From Where We Ascend / Wake."
The work previously premiered in Brooklyn.
The production incorporates video work by local filmmaker Sean Kafer and is described by organizers as a reflection on life following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Stathas, a Milwaukee native and founder of the company, returned to choreography in 2016 after a career in physical therapy. In a press release about the production, Stathas said, "This program honors our collective evolution -- where we’ve been, where we are and where we must go."
The Milwaukee performances will take place Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, both at 8 p.m. General admission is $38, with reduced pricing available for seniors and artists. Danceworks MKE is located at 1661 N. Water St.
