NOW: Milwaukee man who shot, killed pregnant mom of 4 gets life sentence without parole eligibility

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Nearly two years after he shot and killed a pregnant mother of four, a Milwaukee man was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Quran Robey, 29, pled guilty in 2024 as his jury trial was set to begin.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. near 33rd and Center in November 2023, when Robey was at his girlfriend, Tynesha Crawford's, house with her four young children.

That's when the two got into an argument, and Robey shot at least twice, before stealing Crawford's car and fleeing the scene, leaving her kids to get help from 911.

He was later arrested and taken into custody after police located the vehicle and some of his belongings.

On Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, Robey apologized for his actions.

“I still love her, I still think about her, I can’t sleep at night knowing I did this," Robey said to Judge Laura Crivello. "I apologize for being a burden on everybody in this room.”

But Crawford's family, including her mother, Danielle, said the apology was too late.

“You had no right -- none, whatsoever," Crawford said. "And no amount of time they give you is going to bring our baby back to her family, to her kids, to whoever.”

Two of Crawford's daughters also attended the sentencing and spoke to Robey directly, noting Tynesha was a good mom who didn't deserve what had happened.
