Milwaukee Man Steals Running SUV then Crashes Into Parked Cars Causing BB Gun to Fall Out of SUV

A 31-year-old Milwaukee man’s car was stolen by an 18-year-old who got into the running car and attempted to drive off.

According to Milwaukee Police, officers from the Milwaukee Police Department arrested a suspect wanted in a Northwest Side armed robbery after they located and pursued the car the suspect stole.

District Seven officers responded to the 4700 block of N. 77th Court around 12:00 p.m. on June 9 for a report of an armed robbery.

The victim, a 31-year-old Milwaukee man, told officers the suspect got into the victim’s running 2005 Ford Escape and attempted to drive off.

The suspect struck several parked cars causing the suspect and a gun to fall out of the vehicle.

The victim ran toward the suspect but upon seeing him with a gun called police.

The suspect drove off in the Ford Escape but was located a short time later in the 1800 block of N. 24th Street.

Officers pursued the car until the suspect stopped in the 2300 block of N. 18th Street and fled on foot.

 The suspect, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man, was quickly taken into custody.

A BB gun was found under the driver’s seat of the stolen car. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
