Milwaukee Man Shot Near 40th and Congress Monday Night

A 23-year-old Milwaukee man reports being shot Monday night while sitting in his parked vehicle near N 40th and W Congress Streets. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the man said that around 11:45 PM he heard gunshots fired nearby and then realized that he had been hit by the gunfire. The man was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for the non-life threatening injury. The MPD is investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
