Milwaukee man injured during fight with family member

A 55-year-old Milwaukee man was injured during a fight with a family member Thursday afternoon.  According to the Milwaukee Police, investigators first thought the man had been shot during the fight. However, when examined at a local hospital, it was determined the man was not injured by gunfire, instead, he suffered blunt force trauma injuries during the assault.  The injuries are considered non-life threatening.   The assault occurred around 3:55 p.m. in the area of N 23^rd and W Nash Streets.  The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident and is looking for the suspected assailant.
