Milwaukee man sentenced to 20 years in death of Greenfield man

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday, Aug. 14, for firing shots that killed a 41-year-old Greenfield man. 

Donvonta Pearson, 30, pleaded guilty to second-degree reckless homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon for the shooting that occurred in March of 2022. 

The victim was identified as Gregory Fabian. 

According to a criminal complaint, Pearson said he fired two rounds after the victim took drugs from him without paying. 

Court records show Pearson's sentence will be followed by 10 years of extended supervision.
