MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee man pleaded guilty in court Friday morning to sexually assaulting a child in August.
36-year-old Daniel Mangert was charged with first degree sexual assault of a child. Two other charges were dropped as part of a plea deal.
Authorities say the assault happened in August at Humboldt Park. On Friday, the prosecutor read disturbing details of the incident.
“To be brief, the victim in this case, [a] 4-year-old… was a stranger to this defendant,” Prosecuting attorney Abby DeSiato said. “It occurred in the bathroom of the beer garden.”
Mangert’s sentencing is scheduled for February 7.
