Milwaukee Man Fires Gun and Flees Police Before Being Captured

Milwaukee Police arrested a man firing a gun and running away from police on Wednesday night in the 5500 block of N. 40th Street.

At the location, the officers heard the shots and saw a man run away.

The officers caught up with him and took him into custody.

A .45 caliber Hi-Point firearm and two spent .45 caliber casings were located near the suspect. During a search of the suspect’s backpack, officers found 27 grams of marijuana.

The suspect is a 29-year-old Milwaukee man.
