Milwaukee man charged with stabbing teen in back at Pulaski Park

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 21-year-old Milwaukee man has been charged with stabbing a 13-year-old in the upper back near his spine and cutting another person's arm at Pulaski Park on Wednesday, April 22, according to a criminal complaint.

Santos Perez-Calderon faces felony charges of substantial battery with a dangerous weapon and physical abuse of a child with a dangerous weapon, along with two counts of bail jumping.

The complaint says witnesses told investigators Perez-Calderon ran toward a group at a basketball court and stabbed the teen from behind. A second person who tried to intervene was reportedly cut on his forearm and hand, requiring stitches.

As of Monday, April 27, the 13-year-old's mother told investigators he was experiencing numbness and difficulty moving his arms, according to the complaint.

Perez-Calderon is also charged in connection with a Jan. 2026 incident in Cudahy in which he allegedly violated his bond conditions.
