MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 33-year-old Milwaukee man is facing nine charges, including first-degree sexual assault and armed robbery, after prosecutors say he broke into a woman’s home, assaulted her at gunpoint and stole her car just four months after being released from prison.

Terrance Williams, Jr. appeared in Milwaukee County Circuit Court regarding a Thursday, July 17 series of crimes against a 34-year-old woman who attends the same church as Williams.

Court records show Williams was released on extended supervision on March 11 following a 10-year sentence for a similar crime.

According to the complaint, the woman returned to her home near to find Williams inside. He allegedly pointed her own handgun at her, physically forced her into a bedroom and sexually assaulted her multiple times. She reported that he choked her, wrapped a belt around her neck and wrist and threatened to kill her.

Investigators later confirmed the belt had been given to Williams the day prior by an acquaintance.

After demanding money, Williams allegedly forced the woman to drive him to an ATM, where she withdrew $200. He then stole her vehicle and gun before being arrested in Mauston on Friday, July 18. Police recovered the victim's vehicle, handgun and cash.

During a recorded interview on Saturday, July 19, Williams admitted to breaking in, using the weapon, assaulting the woman and taking her vehicle. He said he acted on impulse and described his actions as "torturous" and that the acts were committed "essentially out of pain of rejection." A witness claimed that Williams had been infatuated with the victim for weeks.

The victim reportedly told police she had repeatedly rejected his romantic advances.

In 2016, Williams was sentenced to 10 years in prison for inviting a woman into his home under false pretenses and then sexually assaulting her as she tried to leave.

Williams appeared made his intake court appearance on Wednesday, July 23 with a bond being set at $150,000 due to the severity of the crimes.
