Milwaukee Man Arrested for OWI with Child in Car

Haltex Jakarta Deacon , 47-years-old, from Milwaukee has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol for operating motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.

Mr. Deacon was stopped for deviation from a designated lane while driving on I-94 in Racine County. Upon making contact with Mr. Deacon, the trooper detected an odor of intoxicants. The trooper administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and the driver was subsequently placed under arrest for the suspicion of operating while intoxicated, 1st offense, with a passenger under the age of 16.

Mr. Deacon was taken to All Saints for a legal blood draw and was transported to the Racine County Jail. Mr. Deacon was also charged with operating without a license, no insurance and deviation from designated lane.
