Milwaukee man arrested for fifth offense DUI

MILWAUKEE -- 60-year-old Steve Arndt has been arrested for his fifth driving while under the influence offense on January 9th. We're told Arndt was under the influence of oxycodone and oxycontin at the time of his arrest.

A Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy responded to reports of a car swerving in the northbound lanes of I-43 near Becher St. The sheriff's office says Arndt was seen traveling at varying speeds between 20 and 40 mph.

Arndt was pulled over on I-94 on the 68th St. off ramp. The sheriff's office says Arndt got out of his car, which continued to roll 15 feet down the ramp.

According to the sheriff's office, Arndt admitted to taking \"three oxycodone and five oxycontin\".

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is recommending the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office charge Arndt with fifth offense driving under the influence, deviation from designated lane, and operating after revocation. If convicted on these charges, Arndt could face up to seven years in prison.
