Milwaukee man, 66, critically hurt after being struck by hit-and-run driver near 38th and Villard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 66-year-old man was seriously hurt and being struck by a hit-and-run driver near 38th and Villard on Thursday, Sept. 24. 

It happened around 7 p.m. 

According to police, the 66-year-old Milwaukee man was attempting to cross the street when he was struck. 

The driver in the striking vehicle fled westbound on Villard Ave. 

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. 

Vehicle parts located at the scene suggest the suspect vehicle may be a black 2003 to 2010 Volkswagen Golf with damage to the passenger side mirror. A stock photo was provided below. 

Milwaukee police are seeking a suspect.
