Milwaukee leaders introduce new affordable housing complex in Walker's Point

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee city leaders introduced a new option for affordable housing in the Walker's Point neighborhood.

"We're excited that we're taking underutilized properties, old factories, parking lots, and creating quality housing out of them for our community," Alderman Jose Perez said.

The new Seven04 apartment building has been in the works since 2015.

It has 60 units for families and people who struggle to find stable housing.

The development cost more than $12 million, with more than half of that coming from United Healthcare.
