Milwaukee Irish Fest to Host February Concert to Announce Irish Fest Lineup

Milwaukee Irish Fest will  host the Next Generation Leahy for a special concert celebrating the announcement of the 2016 entertainment lineup on February 13.

A family of accomplished multi-instrumentalists and dancers, the Next Generation Leahy is a group of six siblings, all under the age of 14. Led by their parents, Doug and Jennifer Leahy, the Ontario-based group plays high-energy Celtic music which incorporates the fiddle, cello, accordion, singing, piano, as well as step-dancing.

“We are excited to have the Next Generation Leahy join us as we kick off the 2016 festival,” said Patrick Boyle, executive director, Milwaukee Irish Fest. “We have been working hard to line up some of the best bands and performers in Irish and Celtic music and look forward to sharing the news with our fans.”

The concert will be held on Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. at the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center (2133 W. Wisconsin Avenue) with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 until Feb. 6 and $25 thereafter. Children 12 and under are free. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit
