MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Abby Hauke, 2025 chairperson for the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors board of directors and a regional sales manager with First Weber, joined us on Monday, Sept. 15 to discuss the latest housing trends.
She reviewed recent home sales and current listing activity in the Milwaukee area, offering updates on how the local market is performing. Hauke also addressed common misconceptions about homebuying, including the belief that buyers must have a 20% down payment, that renting is always less expensive, or that only perfect credit secures a mortgage.
She noted that many assume buying a house is overly complicated or that market volatility makes now a poor time to buy but said these myths can prevent people from exploring realistic options in today’s market.
