Milwaukee Fire Department: 4 displaced after house fire near 17th and Capitol Drive

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A house fire on Friday evening left four people displaced.

The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. near 17th and Capitol.

The fire started in the basement of a 2-story home. It took roughly an hour and a half to put out the fire.

The Red Cross has been called in to assist the four adults in the home who were displaced by the fire.

There were no injuries reported to residents or firefighters.

There is currently no dollar estimate on the damage done.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
