Milwaukee Detective arrested for alleged misconduct in office

MILWAUKEE-Police Detective Rodolfo Gomez is charged with misconduct in office for allegedly beating a handcuffed suspect.
The suspect was being questioned in connection with an infant death when according to court documents an argument escalated with the detective allegedly striking the man in the head and upper body.
Gomez was the lead detective in the high profile fetal abduction and murder case from the city's south side.
He's been suspended because of this most recent charge.
