Milwaukee County Zoo Gives Behind the Scenes Access to the Public this Weekend

If you're looking for something to do this week and you may want to head to the Milwaukee County Zoo. Staff are opening up area is typically not seen by the public. It's part of their behind the scenes weekend.

There are 14 different stops, including at the aquatic and reptile center. Where visitors will be able to go to the basement to see the extensive filtration system, the fish quarantine area and the winter home for the tortoises. 

Zoo staff said this is an opportunity for visitors to see how it is you actually runs, something that doesn't likely cross your mind when you're visiting. 

 Behind the scenes weekend will be both Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 2:45 PM. And it doesn't cost more than your price of admission
