Milwaukee County supervisor calls on FPC to suspend police chief search

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Supervisor Russell Goodwin wants Milwaukee's Fire and Police Commission to permanently suspend its search for a new police chief.

The FPC appointed Jeffrey Norman as acting chief back in December.

Although the FPC is still conducting a nationwide search, Goodwin says, "I believe Chief Norman is doing a fine job, and he deserves the opportunity to finish this term in its entirety. I also believe he should be asked to serve beyond this term."
