Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office forms new community advisory board

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office has established its first Community Advisory Board to strengthen communication between residents and law enforcement.

Sheriff Denita Ball announced the 15-member board Monday, June 30, noting nine members were selected by a panel of community leaders and six were chosen directly by Ball. The board aims to serve as a forum for the community to share safety concerns and recommend solutions.

The board includes the following members:

  • Richard Cesar, Milwaukee Area Technical College
  • Alberta Dziadulewicz, Retired
  • Travis Landry, Westcare Wisconsin, Inc.
  • Renee Logee-Henersky, United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee
  • Byron Marshall, Self-employed
  • Vaun Mayes, ComForce MKE LLC
  • Michael McClone-Carriere, Milwaukee School of Engineering
  • Eva Roberson, Milwaukee Public Schools
  • Anthony Smith, Marcus Performing Arts Center
  • Robert Thibault II, Prison Action Milwaukee
  • Tiquila Thomas, Safe & Sound
  • Faithe Thomas-Colas, Greater Milwaukee Urban League
  • Tomeka Vukovic, Everybody Votes
  • Bathena Webber, Retired
  • LaKeshia Myers, Educator, former Legislator

Sheriff Ball will meet with the board monthly to encourage accountability and transparency. Members include representatives from local organizations, schools and advocacy groups.
