Milwaukee County Residents Vote No to $60 Wheel Tax

The Milwaukee County wheel tax referendum failed.
The ballot asked voters this evening, \"Do you support County Executive Chris Abele's proposal for a $60 vehicle registration fee to provide funding for transit and transportation-related projects?\"
The county already has a $30 wheel tax and voters were asked how they felt about it being bumped up. Residents rejected the referendum calling for the $60 wheel tax.
