Milwaukee Community Service Officer injured in two-vehicle crash near 27th and Barnard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee Community Service Officer was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Friday evening.

It happened around 8 p.m. near 27th and Barnard.

According to police, a squad car was struck when a  second vehicle failed to yield the right of way at the intersection.

The female officer, who was alone in the squad, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of neck and shoulder pain.

The driver of the second vehicle refused medical treatment and was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
