MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A call for peace on the streets of Milwaukee as we move into the holiday weekend.
ComForce is bringing attention to the recent gun violence in the city.
They say the warmer weather and the desire to celebrate can lead to neighborhood conflict.
Instead of letting senseless violence occur, the group asks that people reach out to them and not take matters into their own hands.
"You can call 414 LIFE if there is an issue that you know, there's some beef going on or anything like that," said Vaun Mayes of Community Task Force MKE. "You can call interrupters in. There are people who mediate those things, there are resources out here."
The group is also encouraging people to protect themselves from COVID-19 as we are still living in a pandemic.
