Milwaukee Common Council members ask President Biden to ban 'qualified immunity' for police officers

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Seven members of the Milwaukee Common Council recently sent a letter to President Joe Biden asking for an executive order that would ban the use of "qualified immunity" for police officers facing wrongful death lawsuits.

They say qualified immunity has too often allowed officers to "escape the consequences of their unlawful, immoral actions."

They say it should have been taken from police long ago.
