The Milwaukee Bucks Foundation is working to improve education in the city and help students and families 'Own Their Future.'
They are doing it by providing necessary funding to a number of schools.
A total of 19 schools will receive a portion of the $100,000 grant from the Milwaukee bucks Foundation.
It's something the students got to celebrate this morning with a slam dunk.
The Milwaukee Buck's Rim Rockers, along with Bango, and Bucks President Peter Feigin were on hand as part of the announcement.
The Bucks Foundation awarded the grant to the organization Schools that Can.
It's an organization that works to make school, primarily in high poverty area, better.
The money will be used to help educators with on the job coaching, along with monthly professional development and leadership training programs.
It's something the organization says they have been working with at carver academy for several years, and they say the school has transformed.
They now have increased attendance and better student achievements. They are happy and thankful that this grant will continue their efforts.
