Milwaukee Brewers unveil Bernie's newly renovated chalet

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Bernie Brewer has a new chalet out in the left field at American Family Field.

American Family Insurance teamed up with the Johnsonville Famous Racing Sausages and Brewers broadcasters in a recent “Mascot Makeover: Chalet Edition” series to renovate his home.

The upgraded chalet is based off Bernie's original home at County Stadium.

“We are excited to welcome fans back to American Family Field, and just as excited to unveil a renovated Bernie’s Chalet,” said Rick Schlesinger, Brewers President – Business Operations. “A special thanks to American Family Insurance for making this a reality as we know our fans will embrace the nostalgic design for Bernie’s new home.”

The famous yellow slide was changed to white to match the new exterior.

It's all in time for Opening Day on April 1, when the Brewers host the Twins.
