MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee School Board will investigate the relationship between MPS and Universal Companies of Philadelphia which is the company that the district hired a few years ago to set up charter schools.
Earlier this month, former School Board President Michael Bonds pleaded guilty to accepting bribes from that company in return for favorable votes.
Bonds will be sentenced in September.
The School Board will work with the City Attorney's Office on the investigation.
