MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Former Milwaukee School Board president Michael Bonds pleaded guilty Monday to charges that he took bribes.
The plea was in federal court in Philadelphia.
Bonds was accused of taking payments from a Philadelphia company that was trying to set up charter schools in Milwaukee.
Investigators said that Bonds cast votes favorable to that company, in return for the payments.
After Monday's plea, Bonds' sentencing was set for September 10.
