MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee area families finalized their adoptions Friday, and they did it with the help of a special visitor.
One family, the Trad's, of South Milwaukee, didn't plan on adopting at first.
Over the last year they were foster parents to 8-year-old Olivia and her 7-year-old brother Asher.
With the help of the organization Jockey Being Family, they were able to finalize the process.
The families were also surprised by NFL player and former Green Bay Packer Ty Montgomery.
"I struggled with infertility for a long time," Virginia Trad said. "We had just kinda decided it just wasn't meant to be and then they came into our life."
"I feel really happy that we're both finally adopted," Olivia Trad said.
Each family was presented with a check for more than $2,000, a donation on behalf of Ty Montgomery's foundation.
