Miller Park preps field for Newcastle and Atlas game

It's been a very exciting summer for soccer fans.

The Women's World Cup team comes away victorious. Now, two of the best teams in the world are headed to Milwaukee.

International soccer is back at Miller Park this year.  The Brewers tried it out last July - and it was successful.  This year Newcastle and Atlas play tonight at 8:00 PM.

It is the second-ever professional soccer match at Miller Park.

The Brewers took a chance last year by hosting a game.  Now they're doing it again.  It requires significant adjustments to the field.  This includes changing over a baseball diamond into something that's ready for soccer.

The Brewers said it helps showcase how Miller Park can host a variety of events.  The field changeover happened through the weekend.  The players were out there Monday to get a feel for it.  This is an international friendly match tonight. Both teams have long histories. Newcastle united plays in the English premier league. Club Atlas is based out of Guadalajara and finished fourth in it's league this year.

Game starts at 8. Parking lots open at 5. Gates open at 6:30.
