Miller Coors Cleans Milwaukee River

Miller Coors wants to make sure the Milwaukee River is as clean and clear as can be. That's why they led up a massive cleanup effort on Saturday.

Workers planted native foliage and filtered through trash build up along the waterfront, but also helped clear the river of something just as destructive - dangerous, invasive species.

The company says it's their way of keeping Milwaukee a healthy and thriving city, "one of the reasons we've been here for 160 years is not only our brewing and our beer, but we care about the community. We want to make sure we help keep the community clean for all the employees and the residents of Milwaukee," says Kelly Grebe.

The cleanup is part of Miller Coors work with the "river revitalization foundation" which conducts efforts like this in more than a dozen communities across the country.
