Midwest Express Airlines leasing space at Mitchell Airport

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee favorite Midwest Express Airlines announced Thursday that it is leasing space for its corporate headquarters at Mitchell International Airport. It is the next step toward launching a new airline with a much-loved brand.

The one-year, renewable lease is for a building that used to house the 440th Air Force Reserve Station. Midwest Express expects to begin occupying the space with furnishings and equipment in the coming weeks.

Midwest Express says they've heard from former employees, business partners and frequent flyers who are happy the airline is returning.
