MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's lakefront will once again become a showcase of Mexican culture as Mexican Fiesta returns Friday, Aug. 21 through Sunday, Aug. 23 with live music, cultural exhibits, traditional food and new attractions.

The 3-day festival at Henry W. Maier Festival Park is expected to draw thousands of visitors. The event celebrates Mexican heritage through music, dance, art, cuisine and activities.

Organized by the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, Mexican Fiesta also has a mission beyond entertainment: raising money for scholarships that support Hispanic students across Wisconsin.

This year's festival will feature internationally recognized exhibits alongside performances and cultural programming, giving visitors opportunities to experience Mexican traditions and learn more about the country's diverse heritage.

With its mix of food, music, art and family activities, Mexican Fiesta continues to bring communities together while supporting educational opportunities for Wisconsin students.
