Mexican Fiesta kicks off today

Mexican Fiesta kicks off on August 21 at the Summerfest grounds. 
The festival runs August 21-23. 
Mexican Fiesta will showcase Latin Countries' history, art, music, and food. 
It will feature Mariachi, folklore dancers and a variety of colorful entertainment. 
The sanctuary honoring Our Lady of Zapopan will be open for the three days of the festival from noon to midnight
Mexican Fiesta will feature traditional music such as Banda, Ranchero, Norteño, Salsa, Bachata, and Cumbia. 
On Sunday, August 23 the Fiesta Run & Walk will take place at the Lake Shore Park.
Registration is now available at www.mexicanfiesta.org/fiesta_walk.php, single is $10, group of 4 is $35 and a team of 20 is $120 (extra member $6). 
The WHSF provides a cultural and educational environment to enhance and improve academic success of the Hispanic Community, while promoting a better understanding of the arts, history, literature and the perpetuation of Hispanic culture. To date, WHSF has provided over $1,250,000 in college scholarships.
